-CLOSED- Happy Baby Review & Giveaway!

I recently had the opportunity to team up with Happy Baby for a review and giveaway! Happy Baby is a wonderful company who has made it their mission to make "baby food as healthy and delicious as homemade with the essential nutrients needed for optimal growth and development."  I love that they have such a commitment to quality, being all organic, and really seeking to make baby and toddler food that is truly the best for your little one. I don't make my own baby food, partially because where we live have a very limited supply or organic produce, so, I know that choosing foods like the Happy Baby products will give little Michael a well-balanced diet that is organic, and is free of all the icky pesticides, chemical fertilizers, genetic modification, and preservatives that his little body does not need. And he loves the way it all tastes too- double bonus!

Happy Baby sent me a delightful care package of yumminess right to my door in a great little cooler with freezer packs to keep everything nice and cold. I (or should I say little Michael) opened up the package to find all of this!

 I started little Michael out on the banana Happy Puffs. I really liked the information that I read on the canister of Happy Puffs! Not only was it a great easy-open package, but the puffs have 1/2 the sugar as the leading brands, it is a good source of Iron, Vitamin D, Calcium, and B Vitamins and it is made with whole grains! Delicious and nutritious! Michael was so cute to watch eat was he munched on the banana puffs! He would grab a puff with his right hand, then transfer it to his left hand and then shove his whole hand in his mouth to get the puff in! He really liked the way both the apple and the banana puffs tasted and he is always wanting more! I even keep a snack container of puffs in my diaper bag for when we are out running errands!

Michael also tried the Happy Baby Pouch in Mama Grain, which is a blend of organic banana, water necessary for cooking, organic quinoa, organic black bean, organic plum. These pouches are for babies 7 months and up and are balanced meals that are enriched with Salba, nature’s super-grain, which contains omega 3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and minerals. Little Michael was a little unsure at first bite, this was the chunkiest food he had eaten up to this point and he wasn't super keen on the extra chewing. But, even though he made funny faces at me, he kept opening his mouth for more. A couple days later, we ventured into new territory again and tried the Happy Baby Pouch in Gobble, Gobble, which is a blend of water necessary for cooking, organic sweet potato, organic potato, organic turkey, organic squash, organic millet, organic apple, Salba, organic garlic, organic oregano. He was much more "into" this one and about half way through his meal, I suddenly exclaimed, "You're not a vegetarian anymore!" His first meats! He definitely seemed to enjoy the turkey and I think that Gobble, Gobble will be a staple in our house!

 

Little Michael also tried the Happy Tot Spinach, Mango and Pear puree and he loved it, just as I thought he would. Little man LOVES anything with green veggies in it, especially spinach and broccoli!  The Happy Tot Spinach, Mango and Pear is a blend of organic pear, organic mango, organic spinach, Salba, and organic acerola fruit. It has a whopping 822 mg of Omega-3'sper serving too! Little Michael also went for the Happy Melts with about the same gusto as he did the puffs and I really like that the freeze-dried yogurt melts have pre and probiotics for good digestive health. 

Now, the Happy Bites Salmon Stix are the one thing that little man did not try, I did! I cooked them up and had about half the package for a snack in the afternoon. They were really good! They weren't greasy or have that fake-y fish taste. You could taste the yummy fish but I couldn't taste even a hint of veggies. I actually made a lemon and dill dip to go with them that really brought out the flavor! I am really looking forward to the day when I can let little Michael have these with his dinner or lunch. I also think that it is great that the toddler meals have hidden veggies in them, they are high in protein and have omega-3 fatty acids!

I am so happy that I got a chance to let little Michael experience a wide variety of Happy Baby products. I felt good about feeding him organic foods that are packed with nutrients and other goodness and he loved eating it! We are a Happy Baby home for sure! If you have a little one, I definitely recommend Happy Baby products for whatever stage they are in!
