Upcoming CSN Stores Review...What Will It Be?

I was so excited when I was contacted by CSN Stores to do another review for their site! As a CSN Stores Preferred Blogger, I will be getting the opportunity to review something from their 200+ stores! Now, that's a lot to choose from! Hubby and I are still in the process of re-painting and decorating our home, so will I choose one of their beautiful wardrobes, a decorative item for the kitchen that evokes a feeling of being in Italy or something shiny and new for my little man? The possibilities are truly endless!

Have you shopped with CSN Stores before? If not, you should definitely take a look! They have so many great products and so many of them come with free shipping! Here are some of the things I have been eyeballing:
From their collection of wardrobes - this would look amazing in our bedroom!

Italian wall art for our kitchen...
Some new bakeware...
This looks so fun, colorful and it makes noise! ...little man would love it!
These would look nice in our newly painted bathroom

See my dilemma? I haven't quite decided what I'll be reviewing yet, but I'll make sure to let you know what I choose, how I like it and I will definitely add some fun pictures!

Wordless Wednesday

When I saw this shirt, I actually laughed out loud! I love it! I think that is is my favorite baby Bible verse themed shirt ever!

-CLOSED- Little Green Books Review & Giveaway!

Plant the seeds of earth-friendly living with Little Green Books.

My little man LOVES books! He loves to flip through the pages and look at the pictures and he loves hearing the stories. I am so glad that my little man likes books so much, so I try to get him a variety of books that are not only cute and entertaining to look at, but are books that will continue to provide teachable moments as he grows up.
I cherish the times throughout the day where my little man is cuddled in my lap listening intently and waiting for the moment when I take a pause so he can flip the page over. It is so cute to watch him turn a page and then pause, knowing that something has to happen before he can do that again! I am so happy that I discovered Little Green Books for my little man! As he continues to grow up and absorb all kinds of information and input, I am happy that I have the opportunity to "plant the seeds of earth-friendly living" in him from this early age. Simon and Schuster have a line of books about environmental issues, called Little Green Books. They want to use books to get children excited about being green. The line of Little Green Books cover topics from recycling and replanting to creating an awareness of endangered animals and much more! On top of that, each book in this environmentally friendly line is made from recycled materials and printed with vegetable or soy inks! They really practice what they teach!

Simon & Schuster generously sent me four books to review:

What Do You See?: A Lift-the-Flap Book About Endangered Animals
The author's clever rhyming text entices young readers to guess which endangered species is hiding beneath each flap! From a panda bear to a butterfly, each spread features text and die cuts which hint at the animal's identity, until finally it is revealed by lifting the flap! Composed of 100% recycled material, this playful and interactive new title is both entertaining and educational!

My First Garden
Come along with a mother and daughter as they dig up soil, plant a flower bed, and water the seeds to make their very first garden. Together they watch the colorful vegetables grow, grow, grow! This book teaches a first concept of colors as well. The book has a handle die-cut through on every page so kids can take the book with them wherever they go!

Little  Panda and Little Monkey
Meet Little Monkey and his friend Little Panda as they spend their day eating their favorite foods and playing together! Little ones will love to cuddle with this supersoft fleece cloth book that's made out of cotton and recycled Polartec® fleece. This book is machine-washable and comes packaged in a chipboard box that's made from 100% recycled material. It's the perfect gift for a baby

My little man and I both loved reading through theses books! The Little Monkey and Little Panda are definitely his favorites because he can flip through them with out my help. It is so cute to watch him crawl over to the bookcase, pull these books out and "read" through them on his own! The pages are nice and thick, so it is super easy for him to grasp the pages. The colors are nice and vibrant and the story is cute and entertaining. Best of all, it is washable- because little man loves these books so much, he likes to put them in his mouth sometimes!

What Do You See? and My First Garden have been fun to read to my little man as he is sitting on my lap. He loves animals and has had a lot of fun watching me open the flaps on the What Do You See? book!
I have really enjoyed reading through My First Garden with my little man, because it reminds me of when my mom and brother and I would garden in our back yard. I don't really have a green thumb, but I can wait to teach my little man about planting seeds and growing some tasty veggies! I think it's more about the bonding and learning aspect rather than the bountiful harvest...because honestly, I am not very good with plants...but I try! More than anything, I am so thankful to be able to spend this time with my son, reading to him and teaching him valuable lessons about taking care of his home, the earth.

-CLOSED- Uncommonly Cute Review & Giveaway

I grew up in the country and when I saw some of the shirts from Uncommonly Cute, I fell in love! They plucked on my down-home heart string and made me smile. I was thrilled when they agreed to host a review and giveaway with my blog! Uncommonly Cute was founded in 2004 on the premise that "your child is way beyond cute". Their designs are different from anything else that I have seen out there on my hunt for unique baby clothes. Whether you are on the look-out for the Rock Star, Trend Setter, Diva or Little Country Cowboy in your life, they have something for your little one that will be cute and comfy! Each tee or onesie is made of 100% combed cotton and is super, super soft. Little man's tee came packaged very nicely and even had a little card that was packed along with the tee. The quality is wonderful! I was impressed with how well it washed and maintained its "new", soft feel. There was little to no shrinking and my little man still has some room to grow into his new shirt. I like that with Uncommonly Cute you can find a tee or onesie that is unique in design and that excels in quality.

I chose the Tractor Pull tee for my little man and I love it! I feel like I need to get him a pair or cowboy boots and a cowboy hat to go with it! I can't wait till I can show him off next time I go home, I know he will be the talk of out little town (where there is an annual rodeo, I have friends with dairy farms and my neighbors raise cows, pigs, goats, and other various farm animals). My grandpa actually does have an OLD working, rusty tractor and I remember riding around with him on it. It was so much fun and I have so many wonderful memories from riding around on the acres of land between my parents and grandparents house on that tractor. I hope my little man gets a chance to ride on great-grandpa's tractor some day and hear the same stories that I did when I was little.

Uncommonly Cute has a wonderful selection for Boys, Girls, Newborns and Twins. they even have a shoe section where you can build-a-bootie! These would be be so adorable at a baby shower!

You can BUY Uncommonly Cute onesies, tees or shoes on their site. They have something for everyone and are sure to be a hit at the next baby shower or birthday party you go to!

-CLOSED- Ella's Kitchen Review & Giveaway

My little man loves food! Even though he is 10 months old, I still mix purees in with his cereal. I like to think it makes meal-time a tastier event and he sure isn't complaining! I love to choose foods that have unique variety to them and it is also sooo important to me that what I feed him is organic and free of extra "mystery" additives or colors. So, when I came across Ella's Kitchen, my interest was piqued! The packaging is fun - I love the squishable pouches and the colors and images on them really make them stand out. The flavors are fabulous sounding blends that I haven't seen before -  sweet potato, pumpkin apples + blueberries, carrots, apples + parsnips, spinach, apples + rutabaga, and butternut squash, carrots, apples + prunes just to name a few of their blends. Parsnips? Rutabagas? I don't even eat those! My little man is going to be more of a connoisseur than I am!
I looked at Ella's Kitchen a little more closely and found that their company is built on the belief that the food we put into our little one's bodies (and ours too) should be natural, pure, help us be healthy and taste great!  That's exactly how I feel! I want my little man to have a variety of tasty, yet safe food cross his palate so that he can grow up learning to be adventurous with foods and know what a balanced diet is. Ella's Kitchen was created by Ella's dad (his daughter Ella helped too) because he believed that children should have healthier food choices while learning that healthy food can be fun, tasty and cool. I think that the foundation of Ella's Kitchen is just wonderful! I hope that my little man can grow up with an appreciation for variety and know that organic is cool too!

I was so happy when I heard back from Ella's Kitchen that they were going to be sending me some yummy treats to try! We received spinach, apples + rutabaga and butternut squash, carrots, apples + prunes from the Stage 1 baby food line. We also received The Green One and The Purple One from the Smoothie Fruits collection.
Little man loves veggies, especially green ones! So, I decided to give him the spinach, apples + rutabaga puree for dinner. While I was getting his dinner ready, I kept eye-balling The Purple Ones pouch...it had my name on it...it was calling to me...I had to try it! I twisted the cap off and squeezed and...Mmmmmm! The Purple One is crushed up organic blackcurrants, blueberries, apples and bananas and it was tasty! It tasted exactly like a smoothie and I polished it off in seconds! Good thing little man can't ask me to share just yet...because there wasn't a drop left.
You wanted me to share?
The Smoothie Fruits will be perfect for my little man as he gets older and I love them for me- they are great for a convenient, healthy and tasty breakfast side or snack! So, I finished making dinner for my little man and boy was he in for a treat! He loved the spinach, apples + rutabaga puree! He was chasing after the spoon with his mouth and even took the spoon to finish licking/chewing it clean! Ella's Kitchen is a huge hit in our home! I will definitely be stocking up on all the flavors!

More please!

I love, love, love that I can feel so good about feeding my little man Ella's Kitchen products. It is so good to know that they are simply pureed organic fruits and vegetables, including many superfoods, and they are minimally processed. I don't make my little man's food from scratch, but I know I can feel good as a mom choosing great products for him like the Ella's Kitchen foods. These pouches will be perfect for our whole family and especially convenient when we are out and about running errands or for our next vacation! Yay for squeezey pouches and no mess!

Ella's Kitchen pouches so convenient for meal time or snack time, at home or on the go! Just shake, squeeze and yum! Each mouthful packs a yummy, colorful, good-for-you treat! Healthy and handy! They currently have Stage 1 foods and Smoothie Fruits available here in the States.

You can BUY Ella's Kitchen pouches at Target, Babies R Us and online retailers like Amazon and Diapers.com. You can find the store nearest to you that sells their products by checking out their handy-dandy store finder
