Yo' Drops Review & Ecomom Giveaway!

Ecomom is a wonderful site that I love to shop from! If you've followed The Little Hedgehog long, you know that I love shopping on their site! Ecomom was "Founded to address the connection between the health of our children and the health of our environment, ecomom is committed to making eco-conscious living easy, affordable, and rewarding." What a wonderful statement to run a company by! They truly offer a great selection of products that I know I can feel good about buying for little man, hubby and I, and our home. I love knowing that all of the items they sell are Ecomom Approved, meaning that they have been tested and researched with the help of Healthy Child Healthy World, Environmental Working Group, as well as doctors, scientists, moms, dads, babies, and kids! Ecomom carries over 2,000 items that are Ecomom Approved! You know that whether you are shopping for baby gear, face care products, sunscreen or toys, you will be making a smart and healthy choice for your family when shopping at Ecomom!

Organic food is definitely something that I have bought a lot of from Ecomom, especially snacks! I love that they carry the Plum Organics and Revolution Foods lines. They are great snacks for little man, whether we are out and about for the day, at the pool, park or at home. So, needless to say, I was so excited when I got the opportunity to work with Ecomom to review Yo' Drops by Revolution Foods! I had seen Yo' Drops before, but had never tried them, since they really are for children a bit older than little man. *Now, Ecomom and Revolotion Foods does make a point to mention that Yo' Drops are intended for children 5 years and older, since this is a crunchy snack, rather than a melt-in-your-mouth yogurt snack.*

Yo’Drops are a "crunchable yogurt" snack and come in three flavors: Mango Mania, Berry Blast and Strawberry Banana-rama.  Revolution Foods Organic Yo’Drops are made of real fruit and yogurt and then turned into small freeze-dried drops that are super easy to pop in your mouth. I was sent Mango Mania and Berry Blast to try. Hubby and I tried them first, and we were both pleasantly surprised. This is definitely a snack I would pack in little man's lunch box when he is older! They had a fun crunch to them, I could actually taste the fruit flavors with a bit of tang and they were really fun to crunch and eat! Hubby said that they reminded him of a healthy version of nerds. :) My favorite was the Mango Mania (banana /mango flavor) - which I was surprised by, since I hate "fake, artificial banana" flavor. Sure enough, one of the ingredients is real "Organic Banana Puree" (and I swear there's a hint of vanilla in it). Nothing fake in here!

They're so tiny, but they pack a lot of flavor!
So, after some consideration, I decided to let little man try a few (under careful supervision). Yo' Drops are tiny, but at almost 22 months, little man has a mouth-ful of teeth and is a pretty careful eater. So, I started out giving him 4 (yup, that's it) little Yo' Drops in a bowl. He carefully picked one up with two fingers, put it in his mouth and, "crunch, crunch" ...he did great! He chewed them so well before reaching down to pick up a second!

Then when his first 4 were gone, he burst out with, "More, more! Please!" So, I gave him 4 more and when they were devoured, he started signing "More" and "Please" and saying "More, more, more! Please". So, I did give him a couple helping of Yo' Drops and then told him that we were all done for today. If this was any indication of how much he will enjoy them when he is older, I think I should buy stock in the company!

So careful! It was so cute to watch him gingerly pick up one Yo' Drop at a time!

Little man signing and saying "please"!

*Again, Ecomom and Revolution Foods does say that Yo' Drops are intended for children 5 years and older. I did give my son a few under careful supervision. Every parent is different and every child is different and the decision to give these to a child under 5 is completely up to the discretion of that child's parents. This is not intended to show that they are necessarily appropriate for children under 5.*

Some of the product features that I likes most about the Yo' Drops are that they are made with:
  •  Certified organic, Non-GMO ingredients
  • 100% real yogurt & fruit
  • Organic, hormone-free dairy
  • No added sugar & free of high fructose corn syrup, trans fats and artificial ingredients
  • 100% BPA-free packaging (Amazing! I didn't event know they had that)
You won't find any icky trans fats, high fructose corn syrup or artificial ingredients here! Revolution Foods also gives back 3% of net revenues into school lunch program to deliver fresh meals to under-served schools. I love knowing that healthy and organic snacks I purchase from Revolution Foods are actually benefiting others in need! Way to go Revolution Foods!

I really liked how portable Yo' Drops are. Not only are they great for lunchboxes, but they are perfect for when you are out and about. These would be perfect for a day at the pool, since Yo' Drops don't have to be refrigerated. They also fit perfectly in any lunch sack, purse or diaper bag. These will be great to give to little man when he is a little older, especially since he seems to always be hungry as soon as we get in the car to go somewhere! Haha! I also like to keep them in my purse for a snack for me, because, honestly, sometimes I pack a lunch for little man, but forget about my lunch! So it has been great to keep a pack in my purse when I get hungry. It's also a great way for me to get some extra dairy in my diet, since I'm not a huge fan of milk.

Tucked into my purse/diaper bag!

Overall, I'm definitely a fan of Yo' Drops by Revolution Foods! They're Ecomom approved and approved by little man and his mom and dad! :)

I always enjoy working with and shopping from Ecomom. They are a wonderful resource for organic foods and so much more for your home and family. Another feature of Ecomom that I really appreciate is their Daily Deal. Each day they put a new item on sale at a great price! 17. Ironically, my tweet that you retweeted...I think that is the tweet I was never able to record. I attempted several times to tweet, then once I finally was able to copy a URL I was unable to load Rafflecopter. So frustrating. I didn't think to post the URL here. http://twitter.com/ZootasticZookpr/status/112986220660932608?iid=am-212939495113158080071400020&nid=6+status_timestamp&uid=301262857
