Jack Be Natural & GroVia My Choice Trainer Review & Giveaway!

Jack Be Natural has been open since 2010 and was started by husband and wife, John and Stacy. They had always made an effort to choose the safest natural and organic products for their family to benefit their overall health and well-being. Then, they saw a way to marry their passion for organic and natural products with their entrepreneurial spirit and they opened Jack Be Natural!

At Jack Be Natural, their mantra is simple: "Educate other parents like ourselves on the advantages of natural baby products while providing them at fair and affordable prices." --taken from website

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Jack Be Natural on this review and also had the chance to learn more about their company . There are so many things that I love about this online retailer! They offer free shipping (no matter how much or how little you order), email communication is cheerful and helpful and they have an awesome selection of products that goes beyond cloth diapers to include products for mamas, babies, health & nutrition and the home!

I was so thrilled when I was able to review the new GroVia My Choice Trainer! Little man is still working on potty training and I was excited to get this trainer on him and give it a try!

The GroVia My Choice Trainer came packaged (with a sample of Crunchy Clean detergent!) in this great, re-usable bag! It is such a cute and personal touch!

The GroVia My Choice Trainer is a very unique cloth trainer and it has so many features that I really appreciate. This trainer comes in two great, gender neutral colors- Cloud (dark gray) and Vanilla (creamy, off-white). One of the great features are the Side-Flex panels which are stretchy enough for little ones to be able to pull these trainers up and down, just like regular undies. Little man is 27 months and almost completely potty trained during the day (he still has occasional accidents when he gets caught up with playing or if we are out). He still wears a diaper for naps and at night -although, he is starting to wake up dry after naps! I'm not sure if little man is considered "young" or "right on track" for potty training, but he does have a little bit of a hard time pulling the trainer up all the way. He can pull them down easily though! The Side-Flex panels are also really great because they attach with snaps, making them easy to snap off when your little one has a bigger accident that you don't want to have to slide down their legs!

The inner lining of the GroVia My Choice Trainer is made to help your little one feel that they are wet, if they do have an accident. I think that the GroCool inner layer really does help! During the time that we were trying out this trainer, little man had two accidents - one really big wet accident and one tiny little accident. It was really interesting, because for the first, big accident, little man immediately jumped up from playing and ran over to the potty saying that he "needs to go potty" and "had an accident". The second time, it was like he realized that he really needed to go, had a tiny accident, held it and then made it to the potty without a big accident! Yay little man! Both times, it was really noticeable where the accident had been with the wet spots. Even the tiny accident showed up. This was really nice to be able to see that little man had had a small accident (I have some trainers that I can't tell and I'm inspecting them way too closely too check for a tiny accident).

The trainer is made with a waterproof TPU outer, which definitely helps to contain messes and keep clothes dry. When little man had his big accident, his pants did get a little wet around one of the leg areas, but, they weren't soaked and the trainer really did hold a lot in! Little man rarely has such large accidents and it was actually quite surprising that he did - I guess he wanted to test the limits of this trainer!

One of my favorite features is that this trainer is made with an absorbent hemp/cotton layer and that it has a  pocket for adding extra absorbency! (genius!) I really like that GroVia chose to use a hemp/cotton blend (rather than microfiber), since they are more natural fibers. I also love that they included the pocket to be able to add more absorbancy! This is perfect for day trips, long car rides and even nap time.

The GroVia My Choice Trainer fits little man really well and he still has room to grow! He is currently 36" tall and weighs 30lbs. He normally wears a 2T and this trainer is snapped up on the rise. It seems to be a comfy trainer on him and the Side-Flex panels really allow for easy movement (running, hopping, jumping...no problem!) I love the trainer - I love the color, the trim fit, how easily it can be pulled up or down and that it does a great job containing your average accident. Little man seemed to really like these trainers too. I think he likes that they look like undies and he gets so excited as he gets better at pulling them up and down all by himself!

you can see toward the bottom of the trainer where it is snapped up on the rise, leaving more room to grow as little man gets taller!
Overall, I think that this is an excellent trainer to use! I love the fit of this trainer on little man, the absorbent layer, the pocket for stuffing and the stretchy side panels! The Side-Flex panels are perfect for creating a custom fit too, so this trainer will fit your little one whatever age and size they are at. The GroVia My Choice Trainer comes with regular sized Side-Flex Panels that will fit a child from 1T-3T (18-35+ Lbs) or you can purchase Plus Size Side-Flex Panels, which will fit children from 3T-5T (30+ Lbs.). They also come in 6 fun, interchangeable colors that you mix and match for a more colorful look!

I highly recommend Jack Be Natural as a place to shop - whether you are looking to pick up some GroVia My Choice Trainers for your little one or another natural product for you, your little one or your home! The selection is wonderful and the customer service is so friendly and sincere! Not to mention that they offer free shipping on every single order! I really appreciate that about Jack Be Natural, because honestly, sometimes after shopping at other sites, I get to the checkout and the shipping costs can be so high that it becomes a deterrent for me to buy. Jack Be Natural also is really proactive about answering questions and providing helpful information. New to cloth diapering? Jack Be Natural has a really helpful Cloth Diapers 101 section that can answer your questions! Jack Be Natural definitely goes above and beyond to assure that every customer has a pleasant and positive shopping experience and I truly love their desire to help parents find natural products at affordable prices.

  28. First, I want to say:
THANK YOU FOR WRITING A REAL REVIEW OF THESE TRAINERS!
No one else has done a REAL review, which is disappointing to me. You did your review just how I would do one. LOVE IT!

As for what I'd like to try, my dd is allergic to PUL so GroVia is great because they are TPU and I would love to have a GroVia AIO.

Thank you again for this review (we are close to potty training :) )
