Sweetbottoms was so kind to send me a new Clover newborn organic fitted cloth diaper with lime stitching. I had never heard of Clover Diapers before, so when I received the diaper, I looked into what made them special. These fitted diapers are made in the USA from US milled organic cotton fleece. Doesn't that just sound like the perfect fabric to wrap your little one up in!?! There are soft little gussets at the legs and at the back to keep that runny newborn poo in. The diaper has a snap closure, plus a snap down option for when the umbilical cord is healing. The diaper also comes with a soaker that is made out of heavy weight organic cotton fleece and it is easy to lay in in the center of the diaper before you wrap it around baby.
Little Riley was born at 8lbs 15oz (definitely bigger than I thought he would be!) and he lost his umbilical cord stump at 5 days. The sizing for the Clover newborn diaper states that it should fit babies that are between 5-12 lbs. This diaper fit Riley right away and at a month old now, he is around 10lbs and this fitted diaper still fits him really well, with room to spare. My little boys seem to be long and thin, rather than chunky monkeys, but the leg gussets are flexible and there are enough snaps that this would fit a bigger baby.

I absolutely love using this diaper! It is my go-to fitted diaper for night times and when we go out and about. It is soft and a very trim fitted diaper. Even though it is trim, it is super, super absorbent! I have never had a leak with this diaper and it has also contained it's fair share of poop-splosions. Hubby has started calling them "blow-ins" rather than blow-outs, since nothing escapes. Hahaha...
I mostly use Bummis Super Whisper Wraps in the newborn size with this fitted, but I have also used a Blueberry Mini Coverall and a size 1 Weehugger diaper cover with the Clover diaper and they fit over it perfectly.
Overall, I love the Clover newborn fitted diaper! I would highly recommend this fitted to anyone with a newborn or a newborn on the way. It is perfect for nights or trips in the car or even if you are just hanging out at home gazing into your little ones eyes. I actually wish this diaper came in bigger sizes so I could get the next size up for Riley.
