Welcome to the Newest Member of our Little Hedgehog Family!

November has been a month full or reasons to be thankful for our family and one of our biggest and newest reasons to give thanks arrived on the night of November 27th!

I am so happy to introduce our newest little boy, Riley James!
He was born on November 27th, 2012 at 11:47pm
He weighed 8lbs, 15oz and was 21" long
He is a blessing and a joy!

This was such a special way to wrap up the month of November! I am in so much awe every time I look at our new little baby boy!

I hope that all of the readers here on The Little Hedgehog and all of the readers over at The Pistachio Project have enjoyed the Bumps to Babies event. Brittany and I had such a great time joining up to host this event together as we both waited for our new bundles of joy!

November has been an amazing month and I feel so thankful and blessed to have two wonderful sons!

Bumps to Babies: The Little Bee Co. Review & Giveaway

One thing that I am really looking forward to is cloth diapering our new, tiny little baby! I loved cloth diapering little man, but I didn't start using cloth diapers with him until he was 4 months old. So, cloth diapering a brand new baby from day one will be a brand new experience for me! I am happy to say that I have a cloth diaper ready and waiting to go that is stylish, colorful, easy to use and soft!

The Little Bee Co. creates some absolutely wonderful, cute and colorful diapers - they have the Bitty Bee Changed Newborn diapers and the Bee Changed One Size diapers that are available in both solids and prints with a microfleece, ultra cool or bamboo interior. The Little Bee Co. also stands for more than just cute diapers. To The Little Bee Co. the,
""bee changed and change the world" mission is our core: 'For each diaper purchased The Little Bee Co. will donate a diaper to an orphan in need'. Along with providing a quality diaper, our passion is to help children in need and bring an awareness to the orphan crisis consuming the world today." --taken from website
The Little Bee Co. wants to make a difference in the lives of children around the world. Many of these children do not have proper diapering options available to them and an easy to care for, clean diaper can make a huge impact in their lives. The diapers aren't just colorful for looks either, each diaper color is named after a specific country that that diaper represents! It makes my heart so happy to learn more about a company that cares more for the well being of others than their bottom line. How wonderful to be able to get a soft, cute, high quality diaper and get the chance to help an orphan in another country (or right here in the US)!

I was sent the Bitty Bee Changed Newborn Bamboo Diaper and I chose the Jamaican Hibiscus color. I absolutely love how cheery and vibrant this shade of yellow is! The hardest choice you may have when it comes to these diapers is which of their 12 wonderful colors to choose from! The Bitty Bee newborn diaper is an AIO (All-In-One) diaper that will fit preemies to 12lbs. So, no matter how big or small your new baby is, this diaper will fit from day one. I plan on using this diaper as soon as our new little guy is born! As an AIO diaper, it is nice that there is no stuffing or extra cover to worry about. You just wrap it around your little one, snap it in place and you are ready to go! This seems especially perfect for those early days when  you are tired or night time, when you barely feel alert enough to remember how to use a diaper. Two of my favorite features are the snap down setting for the umbilical cord and the leg gussets to keep the messes on the inside. When you open up this diaper, the 100% all natural bamboo fleece that makes up the inner lining feels so incredibly soft! It is definitely the perfect material to put right next to baby's skin!

Interested in having a Bitty Bee Changed Newborn Bamboo Solid diaper for your little one? You can BUY the Bitty Bee Changed Newborn Bamboo Solids directly from The Little Bee Co. website. (ARV $16.95) Along with your purchase, one diaper will be donated to a baby in need!

Bumps to Babies: San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow Review & Giveaway

Even though I breastfed little man, it was about 3 years ago! I just took a breastfeeding class at our midwife's office and it was a great refresher course! There are so many things that I had forgotten about. One thing that our teacher talked a great deal about was creating the best breastfeeding environment possible. There can be plenty of hurdles when it comes to breastfeeding that you often have no control over, so  creating a calm environment and getting things together that make breastfeeding easy, convenient and comfortable are key to a successful breastfeeding experience. One of the key breastfeeding pieces that makes nursing easier and more comfortable is a good nursing pillow.
The San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow is an eco-friendly breastfeeding pillow company that has taken the nursing pillow to the next level. The nursing pillow is discreet while also providing support and comfort for both mom and baby.

The San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow features…

A GREEN design for your baby’s healthy future!
Signature Privacy Cover is detachable and provides complete discretion – anytime, anywhere!
Patented angled surface designed to position babies towards mothers’ breasts
Signature Comfort Bolster provides extraordinary support and security, for both mom and baby!
Detachable back pillow positionable anywhere along spine where mom needs it most
Adjustable strap comfortably fits up to a 52″ waist
Convenient dual pockets: one side for bottles, the other side for phone or remote
San Diego Bebe Twin - also available for nursing twins simultaneously

Who knew other brands of nursing pillows weren't green or eco-friendly? I had no idea! I always thought that they were just cotton stuffed into a half doughnut form. But it turns out that there is a huge difference in the make-up and design of the San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow vs the other nursing pillows on the market. The San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow is filled with a "patented eco-fiber that is hypo-allergenic, non-toxic, non-flammable (no fire-retardant chemical additives), and is recyclable, odor-free, glue-free, foam-free, lead-free and Phthalate-free." I didn't know that other companies even put those things in nursing pillows...I mean, it's a pillow! It makes me feel so much better knowing that our new little baby is going to be snuggling up close to me and nursing on a safe and eco-friendly nursing pillow.

I was sent the San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow in Butter. I love the soft yellow minky fabric and it matches our new little baby's  room! As soon as I took the pillow out of it's bag, I immediately knew I would love it! It had so many features that I always thought were lacking in my previous nursing pillow. My two favorite features are definitely the back pillow and the dual pockets. When I was nursing little man, I had a hard time making sure that I was sitting up properly. I would often realize that I was slouching and that usually led to difficulties with latch or comfort on my back and neck. Pockets were always something I wished I had with my previous nursing pillow too! It is perfect for keeping a bottle of water, snacks and my phone within reach. I had the hardest time eating enough food and drinking enough water- partially because I would sit down to nurse and realize that everything I needed was too far from my reach and I didn't have anywhere to keep it stored for handy access.

One of the handy water bottle pockets!

I also really love how thick the pillow is. I think that this feature paired with the bolster along the edge is the perfect support for little babies. The thickness is great for me, because I never felt that my previous nursing pillow could keep little man up high enough. I felt like I needed to bump it up with extra pillows to keep him close to me. The thickness of the San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow is much better and it has the perfect firmness to keep baby steady. The last feature that I ended up loving more than I thought I would was the privacy cover. I really like that it is detachable, for when I am at home and don't need the extra privacy. But, when I have friends or family over or am out somewhere, I love that it is such a secure fit (it's not sliding off or getting pushed aside by baby) and it is a nice breathable material. I feel like San Diego Bebe listened in on moms and their complaints with big name nursing pillows and then created their nursing pillows to answer those concerns!

A closer look at some of the features and benefits of the San Diego Bebe Eco-Nursing Pillow:

1.Designed GREEN for your baby's future
Made of 100% virgin polyfiber. Hypo-allergenic, non-toxic, non-flammable and recyclable. Odor-free, glue-free, foam-free, lead-free and Phthalate-free.
2.Signature Privacy Cover
Complete discretion while nursing! Lightweight mesh allows continuous airflow, and stores inside its own pocket when not in use. Easily detachable for quick machine wash-and-dry.
3.Signature Comfort Bolster
Complete perimeter bolster provides extraordinary support and comfort, surrounding your baby in soft, reassuring security. Extra piece of mind for mom, too.
4.Superior Surface Design
Patented angled surface design positions baby's head and body towards mother's breast, encouraging proper positioning, latch, suckle and swallow.
5.Detachable Back Pillow
Positionable anywhere along mother's spine for optimum posture and comfort, helping to relieve back, shoulder and neck strain.
6.Comfortable Fit up to 52" Waist
Adjustable waist strap with Quiet-Squeeze™ buckle keeps pillow secure.
7.Luxe Fabrics & Chic Colors
High-quality fabric covers are removable for machine wash-and-dry. Wrinkle-free and lead-free (no zippers or snaps).
8.Convenient Dual Pockets
Elasticized "Bottle Holsters" on one side of pillow, second pocket for remote or cell phone on the other side. Holds everything necessary within close reach.

My Pregnancy Journal: 39 Weeks

Happenings of the Harper Household

I've been linking up with the “My Pregnancy Journal” meme over at Happenings of the Harper Household. She has since had her little girl (Yay!), but I still wanted to continue to keep a pregnancy journal. I'm excited to keep  sharing and journaling some of my weekly symptoms and photographing my growing belly!

  39 Weeks!

Today is my official "due date"! I'm at the end of 39 weeks! I made it all the way to my due date and our little guy seems as snug as a bug. At  39 weeks, our little boy is still growing and should be somewhere around 6.2 to 9.2 pounds and measures about 18.9 to 20.9 inches. Fruit-wise, he's about the size of a watermelon...and it definitely looks like I have one smuggled under my shirt! Our little guy is probably still able to flex his limbs, especially since my midwife said that he still has plenty of room to move around! He is still rolling and kicking too...goodness he sure is active when he's awake! His brain is also still rapidly developing and he's just getting smarter and smarter! Keep cooking little boy, mommy's just playing the waiting game now!

About me & baby boy this week….
Symptoms:  I am still having Braxton Hicks contractions (or are they just contractions at this point?) that and they make my whole stomach tighten up. But, they aren't strong enough or consistent enough to start counting yet. I'm also getting a crampy feeling occasionally (mostly in the evenings), but it comes and goes. I had a major nesting burst this week and we got the nursery almost completely done!

Weight Gain: I am at 165.1lbs - I lost 3lbs from last week!

Cravings: Not too much. Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers have been a nice treat! I definitely still reach for foods higher in protein first.

Food Aversions: No food aversions.

What made me cry this week:  Hmmm... nothing!

Medical Stuff: We went to the midwife's again this week and I had another great check-up. I tested negative for GBS! Hooray!!! I need my next test to also come back negative, then I won't have to have the antibiotic IV treatment during labor. I'm definitely praying for another negative test result! I didn't have the midwife check me at my last appointment. I figured they could check me again if I passed my due date. My midwife said that everything is progressing nicely. We got to hear our little guys heartbeat again and I know it won't be long before I won't be getting to do that anymore! I'm definitely trying to enjoy these last stages of pregnancy while I can!

Thoughts from little man:  Little man talks more about his little brother as his baby! :) We also let little man pick out a small gift for his little brother - a onesie that says "baby brother" on it. Then we wrapped it together and set it aside to wait for when we bring his brother home and he can give it to him. :)

Something I am excited about: It is so nice to feel like the big pieces in the nursery are all set up! I definitely felt more relaxed. I still have some frames to hang and some "finishing decorative touches" to add...but I'm happy with where it's at if our little guy comes before I'm 100% done. I'm also so excited that I tested negative for GBS! Yay!

Bumps to Babies: Baby K'Tan Review & Giveaway

I didn't learn about babywearing until little man was about 6 months old or so. At the time I has a pouch sling and a carrier that I have since learned wasn't a good ergonomic choice for our little man's legs. I never felt very comfortable with the pouch sling - it just didn't feel secure and since it wasn't adjustable or stretchy, he outgrew it rather quickly. I have since learned so much about baby wearing and love it! I bought a better carrier and carried little man in a soft structured carrier until I could no longer comfortably carry him. I really treasured the times when my little man fell asleep against me or was able to calm down quickly when I put him in his carrier. I am really looking forward to creating memories and bonding with our new baby in our new Baby K'Tan! I am so happy that I can keep our new baby close, safe and snuggly against my chest!

There are so many benefits to babywearing! Babies who are held more tend to cry less (something any parent can benefit from!), it helps you to bond with your baby and fosters a secure attachment between baby and mommy (or daddy!), it helps you be hands free while still carrying your little one (perfect for me, especially since we have a toddler who still needs my attention), it is good for your little ones emotional development and so much more!

"The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is an innovative soft cotton baby carrier that is an ideal blend of a sling, wrap and carrier, providing the positions and benefits of all three. There is no other carrier available like it. It is a ready-to-wear wrap that enables parents & caregivers to comfortably carry infants and toddlers (from birth to 3 years) in multiple positions." --taken from the Baby K'Tan website

The Baby K'Tan is "a wrap without all the wrapping", so it is easy to put on and take off, since there are no buckles or wrapping techniques to learn. It is unique in it's double loop design, which makes it a cross between a sling, wrap and structured carrier. The double loop design also allows for even weight distribution across your shoulders. The sash that is included adds extra security and support, so you know your little one is safe, secure and not going anywhere. The Baby K'Tan has also been created to be used for little ones from 8-35lbs and there are multiple wearing positions that can be used. The Baby K'Tan is definitely a unique and versatile baby carrier!

I received the Black Organic Baby K'tan Baby Carrier (ARV $59.95), which is made of 100% organic cotton. I absolutely love how soft it is and that it is made with organic cotton. I can tell it will be a cozy and secure way to carry our new little guy around and I can't wait to be able to wear him! Baby K'Tan offers quite a few varieties in materials for their carriers and they come in some beautiful colors as well! They come in a range of sizes (from XS-XL), so that you can get the perfect fit without any extra fabric or bulk.

Interested in having a Baby K'Tan carrier for your little one? You can BUY the 100% cotton carrier (ARV $49.95), the Breeze (ARV $59.95) or the Organic carrier (ARV $59.95) directly from the Baby K'Tan website. (ARV $44)

You can enter to WIN a Baby K'Tan carrier in your choice of color
and size!

***Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only. Entrants must be 18+ years old. One entry per household. The winner has 48 hours to respond before another winner is chosen.***

Bumps to Babies: Thanks Mama Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag Review & Giveaway

Thanks Mama Planet Wise Wet Dry Bag Giveaway
If you are in the cloth diapering world or if you are preparing to be then you are probably aware of the hundreds of cloth diaper products and many cloth diaper stores. It can be overwhelming with so many options. One store that I love for not only cloth diaper products but for natural baby products in general is Thanks Mama.

Thanks Mama Planet Wise Wet Dry Bag GiveawayThanksmama.com is a family owned and operated natural baby store.  They offer a great selection of cloth diapering products, potty training pants, swim diapers, natural baby care products, baby carriers, bibs, toys, nursery furniture and bedding, strollers, and much more.  They look for innovative products that are good for the baby and the environment and they never forget that most families are on a budget.  That's why Thanks Mama offers the Lowest Prices, Free Shipping on orders over $60 within the USA, 90 days easy returns, Buy Safe Guarantee, and Price Guarantee.  Thanks Mama does ship worldwide! Such a great store to buy from!

Thanks Mama Planet Wise Wet Dry Bag GiveawayThanks Mama sent me a Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag to review and I am in love! For those who are unfamiliar a wet bag is generally used to store dirty diapers whether at home or when out and about. However, a wet bag doesn’t have to be limited to just diapers, you could use it for almost anything such as wet laundry or wet bathing suits, so even if you do not have a cloth diapered little one, a Planet Wise wet/dry bag is still very handy.

Now I’ve only mentioned the wet bag aspect and as I’m sure you noticed I said I was reviewing a wet/dry bag. A wet/dry bag is just like a wet bag only it has an added pocket on the outside specifically for your dry items. This way you can carry both your dry items and your wet items in just one bag! I love this feature because when I’m out and about with my cloth diapered baby, I like everything in one place. With a wet/dry bag, I can store my clean diapers, wipes, diaper cream, etc in the dry pocket and then toss the dirty stuff in the wet pocket.

Perks to a Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag

PVC Free and Lead Free Zippers
Anti-microbial
Reusable
Washable
Made in the USA
Many designer fabrics with coordinating waterproof inner material
Sewn with hidden seams and sealed for no wicking or leaking.
Keeps odors inside
Snap handle for easy carrying
Holds approximately 8-9 cloth diapers

Thanks Mama Planet Wise Wet Dry Bag GiveawayAs I said, I’m in love with this wet/dry bag. It has made my cloth diaper life so much easier when we are out and about! A great big thank you to Thanks Mama for working with me and allowing me to review just one of the many great products they sell.

Follow Thanks Mama on Facebook, Twitter, Blog, Pinterest, or Google +. They host weekly Giveaways, Contests, Twitter Parties, talk about modern family fun and challenges, natural parenting and green living.

Do you want a Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag of your own? You can buy one at Thanks Mama for just $21.00!

Thanks Mama is supplying one Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag for one of you to win!

Bumps to Babies: Hazelaid Review & Giveaway

Hazelaid Giveaway

One of the joys of having a baby is teething. Yes, I’m being totally sarcastic. Who in their right mind would enjoy the teething process? I’ve had 3 kids go through teething and I’ve never looked forward to it. Baby #4 will be no different.

However, while my poor boys (my oldest two) were given the standard non-crunchy Tylenol and orajel until they were hooked on the stuff, my daughter (#3) was spared all the drugs. Now how in the world did she or I survive teething without drugs? Simple, we got her a Baltic amber teething necklace from Hazelaid.
Hazelaid Giveaway

As crunchy as I might be, I was leery about a necklace that could work for pain relief. I mean seriously? How in the world could wearing a necklace make my baby cry less as she’s cutting her teeth? However, I was desperate and I wanted a natural remedy.

My daughter started wearing her necklace at around 3 months and she is still wearing it now that she’s 2 years old.  At first, I thought that it really wasn’t doing much. She seemed about the same. Then one night I forgot to put it on her while she slept (for safety reasons, it’s recommended to wrap the necklace on the baby’s ankle under a sock or jammies while they sleep). By 3am she was fussy and by the time it was morning she was a full-blown monster. What had happened to my sweet child? It took me a while to realize that she wasn’t wearing her necklace but once I put it back on her (after maybe a few hours) she was back to her happy self. I was sold! We have never taken it off of her since.

Hazelaid GiveawayThere was one greater test to put her Hazelaid necklace through…molars. Any parent will tell you that molars are the worst! When my oldest got his 1 year old molars, he got all four in one night, didn’t sleep for 24 hours straight and was drugged on Tylenol and orajel which didn’t seem to make a difference. My second son was not much different only that he didn’t get all four in one night. I knew that when my daughter got her molars in, I could truly tell if Baltic amber teething necklaces worked or not. Sure enough she got her 1 year molars in and guess what! She got them in unnoticed!!! The only reason I knew that she had gotten the first one in was because I was checking out her mouth for one reason or another and there was a molar! The test was over, Baltic amber teething necklaces worked and they worked well!!!!!

A Bit about Baltic Amber:

Baltic amber works in that when worn it releases succinic acid. This succinic acid is absorbed into the bloodstream through the skin. This is how Baltic amber acts as a natural analgesic. Now the most popular reason to use Baltic amber does seem to be for teething but it should be noted that it’s also good for headaches, inflammation, and many other pain related issues. It’s also supposed to improve the body’s immunity which I don’t know if I can vouch for but it seems like my daughter has gotten sick a lot less than her brothers did at her age.

Why Hazelaid:

Hazelaid GiveawayHazelaid is of course just one company of many who sell amber teething necklaces. There are dozens out there. However, Hazelaid is one of a few that sell Baltic amber necklaces and it is Baltic amber that has one of the highest concentrations of succinic acid. Lithuanian’s makes each piece so you know it’s the real deal. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of many other companies out there. Each necklace or bracelet from Hazelaid is knotted in between each bead; this ensures that if some how your necklace or bracelet were to break, you would only lose one stone and not the whole string. Hazelaid not only offers Baltic amber necklaces and bracelets (for children as well as adults) but they also offer hazelwood jewelry, which is great for eczema and acid reflux. This family owned company also offers hazel-amber jewelry, which is a combination of both hazelwood and amber, and quite a few other products as well.

If you are looking for a natural remedy for teething, Hazelaid is the answer! Even if you don’t have a teething baby, odds are that you could find a way to use Hazelaid as it seems everyone knows someone who has pain issues, reflux, or eczema.

Buy It:
You can find Hazelaid’s bracelets, necklaces and more on their site.  Children’s Baltic amber necklaces range from $18.95 - $21.95. However, Hazelaid has provided a discount code for my readers. If you enter code: Pistachio10 you will receive 10% off your order!

Win It:
Hazelaid has graciously offered to allow one of you the chance to win a $25 gift code to their store!

Disclaimer: I was given a complimentary Hazelaid necklace for the purpose of facilitating my review. All opinions expressed were not influenced by the company and are 100% my own.

Bumps to Babies: Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3-Wheel Travel System Review & Giveaway

bumps to babies a november review and giveaway event

One of the items that is a general “must” when having a baby is a car seat. Yet another item that many feel is a “must” although not quite as necessary, is a stroller. Many companies have realized that these two things are wanted by parents and now offer travel systems, which include both the stroller and car seat in one big package.

Eddie Bauer is one such company. I recently received an Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3-Wheel Travel System and I must say I’ve been impressed!

Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3-Wheel Travel System GiveawayThe Eddie Bauer car seat is an infant seat, which is one of Dorel’s (whose brands include: Safety 1st, Cosco, Eddie Bauer, Maxi-Cosi and more) top rated car seat. With it’s nice gender-neutral yet stylish colors, this car seat is sure to please any parent. The car seat comes with its base so you are all set and ready to install into your vehicle. It also comes with all the standard luxuries like the 5 point harness, level indicator, removable infant head support, LATCH, and so on. One of it’s great features is that it works as a rear facing infant seat from 4-35 lbs and up to 32”; that should get you plenty of mileage in just this one car seat!

Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3-Wheel Travel System GiveawayThe stroller is just as great. The stroller is designed in the same colors as the car seat so you can have a great looking set if you decided to snap in the car seat to the stroller for a walk. Easy to maneuver which is important when you are trying to steer a baby around a busy mall or crowded sidewalks. Comes with a child’s tray with a cup holder and a parent’s tray which has two cup holders and a covered storage area for keys, iphone, ipod, etc. You can recline the seat to pretty much any angle as it’s designed on a simple cinch system. This stroller has a nice sized storage basket underneath to hold that diaper bag, shopping bags, and anything else you might need to free your arms of. One thing I’m really grateful for is the adjustable handle. I am on the shorter side of things and not all strollers are built for me. The Eddie Bauer stroller has an adjustable handle so I can adjust it to where it is comfortable for me, however with just a click of a button I can move it so that my husband or someone else can push the stroller comfortably as well.

This truly is a great set and would make any parent’s day!

My Pregnancy Journal: 38 Weeks

Happenings of the Harper Household

I've been linking up with the “My Pregnancy Journal” meme over at Happenings of the Harper Household. She has since had her little girl (Yay!), but I still wanted to continue to keep a pregnancy journal. I'm excited to keep  sharing and journaling some of my weekly symptoms and photographing my growing belly!

  38 Weeks!

Little man was born at 38 weeks on November 12th. Our new little baby boy seems to be happy where he's at and is still in the oven! I'm glad- I'd be more than happy to have him stay on the inside until 40 weeks. So, at 38 weeks, baby boy is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. That's a pretty big weight gap...I hope that he's closer to the lesser weight. :)  At 38 weeks, little man was 7 lbs, 14oz., so I am thinking that our new little guy will be in the 8lb range.
About me & baby boy this week….
Symptoms:  I still get nauseous on occasion, but I think I figured out that it seems to happen when the little guy is super active or when I let myself get too hungry. I still get Braxton Hicks and it mostly happens in the evenings, but sometimes I'll get a few contractions during the day for good measure. Also, our little guy is still super active and I still feel lots of kicks or knees in my side or the occasional punch toward my bladder! On that note, I also have to go go to the bathroom all.the.time! Other than that I am feeling pretty good still! Going to the chiropractor helps and I have been lucky to get some extra sleep-in time in the morning! I definitely get tired in the evenings, but overall I feel healthy and happy!

Weight Gain: I am up to 168.1lbs - I've gained 43.1lbs!

Cravings: Fruit, kefir and high protein foods are the most appealing to me and I can tell that my body really needs the high protein foods too.

Food Aversions: No food aversions really.

What made me cry this week:  I got a bit emotional thinking about how we were going to plan out our new little guys nursery. I felt like I couldn't make any decisions and at the same time, like I wasn't getting anything done! *Sigh*

Medical Stuff: We went to the midwife's again this week and I had a great check-up. Our little baby's heartbeat was super loud and strong! My midwife also checked me to see if I was dilated at all and I am! I am at 3+cm! Yay! I'm headed in the right direction! I was at 4cm when my water broke with little man...so, we'll see how much longer I have! We also went to a breastfeeding class at our midwife's office last night. It was so helpful! Even though I breastfed little man, that was almost 3 years ago, so I wanted a refresher course. ;) This was so, so, so helpful and I loved all the information that she gave us - it was all so practical and there were some great tips that I had never heard before.

Thoughts from little man:  Little man still goes back and forth between talking about his little brother to wanting to be a baby again and have his crib back!

Something I am excited about: Meeting our little baby boy! Sometimes I feel like it is going to be awhile and then sometimes I feel like he'll be here before Thanksgiving!
